Colwyn Bay is a seaside town located on the North Wales coast. It is easily accessible via the A55 North Wales Expressway which runs from the North West of England through to Holyhead on the West coast of Wales. Colwyn Bay is on a mainline rail route and is also serviced by National coaches.
Colwyn Bay is an ideal location for a short break or longer stay and is within close proximity to other popular seaside resorts and attractions, such as Llandudno, Conwy, Rhos-on-sea and Snowdonia National Park.
Colwyn Bay has an award winning beach that stretches for 3 miles from Rhos Point to Penmaenhead and offers a variety of attractions. To the west of the beach is Rhos-on-Sea, a quaint little coastal town which has numerous cafes, seaside kiosks and quality restaurants. It also has a very picturesque Harbour that offers pleasure boat trips to the Irish Sea. The Colwyn Bay section of the beach also offers seaside kiosks and the Victoria Pier which dates back to the early 19th century. The beach then extends to Old Colwyn where it transforms into a pebbled beach which is very popular with Anglers. The Beach is easily accessible via the promenade which runs parallel to the beach and there is also a cycle track for the more energetic.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo is a must for any visitor and offers panoramic views, amazing scenery, beautiful gardens and many rare and endangered species from all over the world.
There are shopping areas in both Rhos-on-Sea and Colwyn Bay Colwyn Bay also offers a street market twice a week.

Plas Mawr is another house open to the public, as it Is of Elizabethan origin built in 1576 by the Wynn family, which has of late has been refurbished and is open to visits for the public.
